Why is Racism Unacceptable but Homophobia is Acceptable?

people want to talk about my typing standard when they cant even spell.

Mlarr off you troll.

I'm wondering if homosexual men become slightly attracted to women when their menstruating, I think that's true, when a woman is menstruating, men find them more attractive...(or rather a certain part of them becomes happier easier)

I suppose you can't really know if she is menstruating unless you ask!

Once again it wasnt my choice.

The problem isn't really with the sexual preference of people, but with the lifestyle and promotion of their sexuality in such a public way.

I am not advocating hiding yourself away, but heterosexual men generally dont go around making a big deal out it as some Homosexual men do.

Being a homosexual is not really any different from being into any other sexual preference such as S&M or whatever, who cares if you like men or not I don't, I do care however when people like Peter Tatchell go on about it like its some divine right to be recognised for the fact or that you are special in some way, That is what makes homosexuals different and thus open to discrimination.

As for choice, some do make a choice as part of a specific lifestyle and there is no proven genetic cause for Homosexuality, it is a common trait throughout the animal kingdom, and in ancient cultures was nothing to really comment on either way.

Interracial relationships I just cannot comprehend and I guess because I see it as not "normal" or "natural". Sure, love is love, and love is good and all that and I'd rather 2 people love one another than hate one another. However, I can't help but feel uncomfortable slightly with it. However, whilst I don't want to outcast such people which is absolutely unfair, I can't feel myself wanting to accept it as "normal" and let society accept it as totally "normal".

However, part of me thinks, evolution of society is perfectly normal, and that one has to allow this evolution. The problem isn't with it at all, and I know it's something I have to deal with - I'm just being honest. Also being honest, as long as it's not in my face it doesn't bother me - (out of sight out of mind). Having it perfectly ordinary and thrust around us in society is still not, for me, comfortable or right.

Can you see how easy it is to compare the two issues if we go with the startling idea that, shock horror, some people are born attracted to different things than us?

I don't like fat people, obese people make me cringe and I hate looking at them, that's my problem. Seeing two dudes kiss does make me a little grossed out, I'll freely admit that, why an earth should society not accept it as perfectly normal though? Because most of us are not attracted to the same sex? Most of us aren't attracted to fat people but some out there love it! Why should we shun a minority and label it abnormal? No one has ever seriously dictated that we should all have to be homosexual.

It's not a choice of who or what we are attracted to.

Peter Tatchell need stringing up, can't stand that man and hate how he seems to have become a spokesmen for gay people. I agree with you some gay people do seem to make it worse for themself with all this gay pride crap, just be gay ffs stop bringing attention to youself and no one will give a damn.

Every romantic comedy I have ever seen has shown displays of heterosexual romance, most couples people I see holding hands or kissing in the street or eating at a restaurant are heterosexual. Most "lifestyle and promotion of their sexuality in such a public way" is just basic interaction seen as abnormal because its homosexual. You can hardly blame the overt displays of it that come when its put under such pressure by main stream society. I know I would react funny if I was out on a date and everyone stared at me and I got abuse for it.

It's not really what I'm talking about. Gay Pride and stuff like that only serve to highlight the difference which in reality is simply a sexual preference and not anything more.

The Gay community seem to want to draw attention to themselves, then they complain when the heterosexual community are being homophobic when they don't wish to participate or witness such displays.

Precisely.

Agreed, acceptance of homosexuality will always be hindered by the flamboyant (sp?) expressionists, who now serve to divide straight and gay cultures more thoroughly than the true homophobes. Bigotry in this area doesn't cover, in my mind, people like Freefaller or hurfdurf, who haven't shown any kind of prejudice against homosexuality beyond a marked discomfort - and it's props to them that they'll admit it amidst the fear of the ignorant and the militant branding them homophobes.

Anybody with a handful of brain cells to rub together can tell that diluting and ultimately disposing of hatred toward people based on their sexuality is the true goal, as it was in the western world with racism - nowadays, the concept of racism amongst the young holds very little potency, simply because the vast majority of so-called racist incidents have no true malice behind them stemming from differences in race. There are always going to be extremes on either side - true racists, if you will - either violently opposed to any integration of different races or excessively purging anything they consider to be offensive, and by doing so widening the racial divide, but more and more such people are shrinking to a minority of overall opinion.

This is inevitably going to occur with homosexuality as well, but these things take time. It may have been mentioned, but homosexuality (male, at least) was still illegal in England right up to the late 60s, and even up to 1980 in Scotland. The legal age of consent was also wildly unbalanced until '94 or so. Particularly among the older (read: 40+) generation there is still a strong undercurrent that tells us homosexuality is wrong, but in another few generations that nurture-bred impression will change and the outright ignorant will be as decried as those still claiming that Africans are a natural slave race.

It's the Bolian all over again :/

Man up you bummers and find Women attractive! They're excellent they have boobies an inside hidey holes that don't stink of poop.

Maybe if you messed with them a bit you would stop trying so much to walk and talk like them.

Race is genetic and normal...Homosexuality/beastiality/paedo is a choice...

No, no it's not.

Did you choose to be attracted to the laydeez?

All I know is that one day I saw a woman with big boobies and Skip Jr. popped up to say hello.

If it's a choice, it was the easiest decision I've ever made.

Takes a real man to take it up the pooper ;) haha

And stereotyping much?

I could turn around to you and say they same...play with a man you may like it....Actually you will technically get more pleasure from getting your prostate stimulated than you ever would from sleeping with a woman.
