Had nothing but problems the last month or so my sons pc, I have built pc;s now for around 6 years and this is the first one I have ever had problems with.

Bought everything from OCUk except case and PSU(which I replaced about 3 weeks ago from OCUK)

I have ran memtest, OCCT and all seems to be fine, I have tried diffeerent memory and fine. I do still have a problem with the GPU making a screeching sound which tech guys at OCUk say is "normal" although I have never had a GFX card making anywhere near the noise from this one. I had replaced the CPU fan about 8 weeks ago, all fans are spinning properly, 2 on GFX card, cpu fan, case fans and PSU fan. No lose connections and from what I can see no overheating problems, CPU temp is about 47c, MB about same. I am running W7 64 bit. Everything runs fine for about 2 days then his pc dies but switches back on and runs again for a few days then shutsdown.

Spec
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 LGA775 'Yorkfield' 2.83GHz 12MB-cache (1333FSB)
Asus ATI Radeon HD 4890 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Asus P5N-D nForce 750i SLi (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (WD10EADS)
Kingston HyperX 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel
LG GH22NS50 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black)
OcUK Crusade 650W Dual-Rail High Efficiency Power Supply

I did originally have a 850w PSU but that died - thats what I get for buying it from ebay with case, there is no onboard gfx but I have ran a 256mb GFX card and that runs fine. I dont want to keep sending parts back to OCUK for them to charge me £20 for it being fine.

I am thinking MB but the wee green light comes on ok and beeps once to say everything ok.

The setting should be in the bios under 'a.i tweaker' I think. But I think its unlikely the RAM is at fault after reading that memtest was ok. Problem seems to point to the motherboard, the nForce chipsets are known to be quite problematic

I'm not 100% sure about the PSU being able to cope with the 4890, it could be a power problem... but I've never tried the OCUK Crusade brand before.

The guy at OCUK seems to think the PSU is fine since its 650w, the mem seems ot be 5v and CPU 1.5v
