try hosting you own game, and check your cpu/ram usage before starting the game

Had a little go on the offline version last night - keen to give it a go with some of you lot - will pop into Vent when I'm free, but feel free to invite me to games :)
 
I can set up 2 more servers if people are interested? Need to raise about $30 first though. See the donations thread in my sig if you are interested (and please donate to the gamservers page) and I'll get the servers set up shortly.
 
anyone found any good sites for custom maps?
So far I've only tried the Naks Survival one, enjoyable, but could do with something a little longer to get my teeth into...
Once I've worked out how to get the tilegen thing working, I plan on making my own too, so keep watching this space :P
 
I'm starting to love Twin Pistols + Minigun (and thinking of taking Power Fist). Pistols are pretty good weapons for general mobility and do decent damage and have a nice ammo capacity. Minigun is for holding out. Power Fist could be useful for the lone enemies to save a bit of ammo.
 
Valve really need to block achievements/exp for modded servers...

Was playing early on a server, turned out they'd amped up the Tesla to almost instagib everything... was so lame.
 
The last mission on Hard always fubars my friends and I.

I've only ever done it with good pubs. What team setup do you guys use?
