william shakespeare

I'm with J.M. Barrie on this one "I know not, sir, whether Bacon wrote the works of Shakespeare, but if he did not it seems to me that he missed the opportunity of his life.". There's a chance Shakespeare didn't exist as an individual but it seems to me more unlikely than that he did.
 
Bacon, Marlowe, Shakespeare who knows. That they really existed is not in doubt. Whether all the work attributed to Shakespeare is actually his, is a debate that has raged among scholars since the 19th Century.

Of course he exists, I've seen him.

He walked into this pub I was in the once in Stratford, there was a right to do, he walked in ordered a pint and the barman screamed at him

"GET OUT, YOU'RE BARD!"
