I actually forgot to get back to you about it anyway mate, but as it turns out I wouldn't have been able to come anyway. Thanks for the invite though, perhaps next year? I'd been off work ill for 3 weeks prior to last week and only recieved 1 week of sick pay so I got shafted this month.

it looks exactly the same anyway

took all day to set up, over £200 of food for the weekend and stupid amounts of booze are all sorted

here goes

you wouldnt believe this works but it does

£75 buy in, 10 players, 20k chips

1 hr levels on day 1

day 1 finishes at 300/600

£50 rebuys for whole of day 1 with add on at end

day 2 is 40 min levels till done

runs about 15 hrs all in ( not including breaks )

we have BBQ beers etc all weekend

last year made about £1800 pot, paid 3 spots

Can any of you experts help with a query I have regarding Poker.

I signed up to Full Tilt Poker last week and I am learning the game so just playing with pretend money.

During a game this evening, Texas Hold'em 9 players, $250 dollar buy in, 3rd get $450, 2nd $625, 1st $1150, 2 players just sat out the game early on and their pot was only going down slowly on the blinds.

There were 3 of us apart from the 2 who sat out the game who basically were fighting it out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd but we couldn't as there were still effectively 5 players in the game.

I get fed up in the end and went all in with a small pocket pair and ended up finishing 5th and didn't win any pretend money when I should have finished 3rd and picked up $450.

Now this isn't a problem as it's mickey mouse money but does this sort of thing happen when you play for real money because I'd be mighty ****ed off if it did.

Edit

The only thing I did notice on pretend no limit Hold'em at Full Tilt was that there was no Turbo option so the blinds were slow to raise, I'm sure if the blinds were raising faster this wouldn't happen.

well day 1 of the big game didn't go well

was doing fine till last hour when I lost a 80k pot when it all went in pre, my KK v KQ and he hit a straight :mad:

in for £275 and only have 60k, there are 2 stacks of 170k

ave stack 78k , £2,200 in pot
