iPhone 3GS deals

Disclaimer: I do not like the iPhone. I am aware of all its shortcomings. There is female logic in place here. I do NOT want to discuss the IMHO superior alternatives to the iPhone. I love my Desire.

I have a simple question.

Is iPhone pricing fixed, or are there deals around if you shop around like you do with proper phones?

Basically, is there any reason not to just walk into a highstreet O2 store and get one there?

My friend tried this on Saturday, but O2 stores only do the 8GB 3GS version now, not the 16/32GB ones (at least in Bath this was the case). However, I think you can get the larger capacity ones online from O2.

I think o2 are offering reconditioned handsets if you call them, certainly as upgrades.

Maybe worth asking?

Three have the 3GS as do Tesco so check their offers to.

I wouldn't even bother going near Phones4U judging from past experience and all of the horror stories I read!
There's no point in even trying to haggle for an iPhone. O2/Orange/Vodafone/etc will say no and just move on to the next customer who is willing to pay the set prices I'm afraid :(

I managed to haggle on accessories, but they "technically" weren't Apple products.

As for the tariffs, no.
