Reported earlier on the AMD Phenom II X6 1035T and Athlon II X2 220 ar now finally shipping.

The Phenom II X6 1035T can be considered the 'slowest' six core processor (if you can call it that), yet and here's the interesting bit, it is selling for about a sixth of the price that Intel's own cheapest hexacore boasts. Phenom II X6 1090T: 3.2GHz / 3.6GHz / 125w.

Phenom II X6 1075T: 3.0GHz / 3.5GHz / 125w
Phenom II X6 1055T: 2.8GHz / 3.3GHz / 125w, 95w
Phenom II X6 1035T: 2.6GHz / 3.1GHz / 95w
The Athlon II X2 220 is priced at just over 44 Euro and is a faster iteration of the Athlon II X2 215. It uses the same Regor core and has a clock speed of 2.8GHz - which is good value for money really. Pricing on the 1035T should be roughly 150 EUR though that is not yet confirmed, we expect this part to end up in OEM mostly.

Very interesting and if the 1035T comes in at around 120 it will be very strong CPU for budget video/photo/sound editing rigs, it's most likely to run super cool at 95W as well and I guess should OC no prob to 3.4-3.6 region.

The 95W version of the Phenom II X6 1055T is starting to trickle into retail channels.

eh?
Doesn't the i3 beat x6 at everything anyways?

Link/Proof?

Edit: Found my own

Obviously better in multi threaded applications, seems to be pretty close in games.

That's because it's so far down the scale it didn't even register....

That’s 4GHz, stable using the stock heatsink/fan. Part of the trick to overclocking this thing was lowering the clock multiplier. Despite always keeping the QPI and memory frequencies in spec, lowering the clock multiplier on the chip improved stability significantly and allowed me to reach much higher frequencies.

I could push beyond 4GHz but that requires more voltage and potentially better cooling. With a stable 4GHz overclock, I was happy.

If you’ll remember from my review of the processor, my Phenom II X2 550 BE managed 3.7GHz using the stock cooler and a pound of voltage. Unfortunately it’s not enough to challenge the overclocked 530.
CPU x264 HD 3.03 - 2nd pass 7-zip KB/s Batman: AA Dawn of War II Dragon Age Origins World of Warcraft

Intel Core i3 530 @ 4GHz 18.4 fps 2822 192 fps 62.7 fps 115 fps 92 fps

AMD Phenom II X2 550 @ 3.7GHz 10.4 fps 2681 170 fps 50.9 fps 63 fps 60.8 fps

AMD Phenom II X4 965 (3.4GHz) 22.2 fps 3143 196 fps 54.3 fps 109 fps 74.1 fps

Even an overclocked Athlon II X4 630 isn’t going to dramatically change things. It’ll still be faster in multithreaded applications, and still the overall slower gaming CPU.

If the Core i3 530 is right for you, overclocking is just going to make it more right.

I've had an i3 530 @ 4GHz and it's a cracking CPU.

I'd take one over an old style quad (Q6600 etc) any day.

In fact the i3 530 @ 4GHz was faster in games than the Q6600 @ 3.6, while running cooler (by a large margin!), and using a ton less power.

No,

What you need to do is read my post's correctly.

You seem to turn up late to threads and post's, not make much effort and want to redeem a prize...

Next

Just try it :D

Play a game on an i3 @ 4ghz costing 220 quid for the system and see how much faster it is than Phenom II costing more...

I encourage you to "sample" some modern INTEL hardware . . . it works great is stable as a rock and overclocks like a beast.

1035 if its priced nicely will be an awsome chip

Ok so first you say that the i3 isn't better, then you say that is is infact a lot faster and prove it with benchs and then you say that the 1035 with is PII chip will be better which you just said it won't be because i3 is better.

You even disagree with yourself, at least if you're about to spread BS, make up your mind and don't change your opinion every 5 minutes.
