What happens to the world when economic growth is no longer possible?

You'r assuming ETs will let us go out and rape other planets/animals for the resources for the sake of egoi-centric materialism when THEY WON'T.

There's a reson we haven't gone back to the moon and we won't be going to mars anytime soon. In fact one of my friends (a very powerful remote viewer) has told me that as soon as we make it past the moon our civilisation will come to end. Note it will be ended as opposed to being destroyed. ET's havent threatened governments they will disable every electrical device on the planet if we attempt to goto the moon.
Actually Tesla is / was an alien (HE'S STILL ALIVE) and perfected his doom ray, so if we ever try to venture past the dark side of the moon we will be instantly vaporised.

The human population can't keep growing forever, there just is n't the room, so what happens when we outgrow the planet and when is this likely to happen?

Of course it can.

We can recycle more, we get more efficient so use less, we will eventually mine in space.

We can live both under ground and tower up to the skys.

The world is not even remotely near it's maximum density.

Its a fallacy. As said before, resources are finite.

Technology might be infinite, but requires the finite resources we have. Infinity divided by finite is as close to zero as you can get....

Never ending economic growth is a fallacy. As roven in the events of the last couple of years. This will happen on larger and larger scales.

Resources are not finite though. There are other planets in space, we are seeing the start of GM organisms to create resources we need. Recycling and efficiency is always increasing.
And last couple of years does not show anything, other than a dip in an upwards trend. it holds no wait on the upwards trend reaching a maximum and then declining.

Do you think continuing as we are until we are at maximum density is a good thing? You seem to be obsessed with squeezing us all into smaller and smaller spaces.

GaHhH Such bad maths....

Growth will continue, new resources will be found, there will be ups and downs of course but nothing to worry about in the extreme long term

I'm not obsessed by it. It's just going to happen. We are not going to introduce draconian laws on birth rates or other such stuff.

People saying x,y,z is not possible have not seen the possibilities or research into technology, we always find a way and at some point, the price always becomes acceptable.

Whether I think it is good or bad, is irrelevant. There is both bad and good sides to everything, there always is.

Terrestrial economics are the reason we have not sent manned missions beyond the Moon, not extra-terrestrial politics.

I would suggest your 'powerful remote viewer' friend gets some psychiatric help while our economic circumstances still fund it though the NHS.

LOL magick, we have gone much further than the moon, we have been to the edges of the solar system.

There are two reasons we have not gone back to the money money and reason.
