An eagle eyed staff member has just found this superb piece of news. It was recently announced that the video game industry could potentially put an end to all our energy problems. Leading to stopping mass pollution from fossil fuels and other non-renewable energy resources.
Unfortunately, this news has been met with widespread criticism, with many activists saying that the job losses globally would be astronomical, potentially leading to a global economic crisis the likes the World has never seen. With the major "Super Power" countries falling to their knees, the need for oil, coal and any other means of power would be useless utterly useless.
The idea is simple, using Valve's stupendous game Portal, we harness the technology used in the Portal Guns.
Create two portals, say 300 feet apart vertically. In between the portals you pump millions, upon millions of litres/gallons of water. Next to which is a large waterwheel taking advantage of the huge amount of water flowing endless between the two, creating limitless amounts of hydroelectricity forever. Behold, the infinite energy that this technology can give us.
