fiat 500 - ferrari edition

I realise it's not exactly the point, but here are some examples of actual Ferraris available for the same money:

Nuts.

i imagine they're that price because

a) they might not be the most favourable models or options
b) they are not a pristine example which any who would want a ferrari would really be after
c) they've been crashed

I'm not a window-licker; I know they're not like for like. I'm just making the point that 30k is serious car money.

Indeed, 30k is serious car money and I can't see many Ferrari and Aston owners opting for these cars when there are numerous far superior cars to potter around town in which can be bought for the same money.

However they haven't made them because Ferrari and Aston Martin thought it would be an excellent idea to add a Fiat and a Toyata IQ to there range to fill a much needed gap. The reason is they need to produce these cars to comply with emissions rules set out by the EU which will come into force in a few years.

It's not actually a Ferrari though is it? It's still a fiat unlike Astons so wouldn't do anything for Ferraris total emissions. It's just a tarted up special edition.

I thought the emissions thing was across the whole company though

So as the R8, Veyron and various lambos are offset by the various small SEATs, Skodas and VWs

Ferrari would already be offset by the small Fiats.

Thats the only reason Aston is releasing that horrible small car as they've got no partner brand to offset against.

Oh so it's the mother company and not each individual brand? I suppose that makes sense, but then fiat wouldn't need this ferrari edition anyway.

Hi there

I like this a lot, but 30k, no not ever, 20k yes but not 30k, thats Focus RS, Megan R26 and even EVO money....

I could be wrong but thats the way I've always read it.

Anyway this is the second Ferrari 500 only now with added chav bodykit

I like the look of that, though not exactly £30K like it!

Cute car is cute. :D
Mum got a 500 Sport "because it was looked nice". I tried and tried and tried to make her get the Abath but I failed.
There's an Abath that lives in the road by work, and I saw one here in Malta earlier this week (reg plate "ABA 500") and I keep thinking of what could have been.....

If I was a rich Arab, I'd buy this for my wife to drive around town in.

me too

infact id probably drive it into town myself too . can imagine 177bhp in one of those being a right laugh.

just not for 30k (unless i was a rich arab of course)
