Hey,

I'm after a couple of people with various Android devices to beta test a game ive been working on. It's a 2d sniping game called Sniper Hunter.

If you have an Android device running 1.6+ with a medium/large (touch) screen and don't mind giving it a quick spin please post here and I will email you the .apk installation file. You will need to manually install it as it isn't market suitable yet.

If you could post if the game runs fine and any general reviews/feelings for example if it sucks/has potential, how I can improve it, is it too hard or too easy etc. There is only 2 maps included so far and im no graphics expert :p but most of the game is done other than the maps, so just after some testers to get some opinions on how the general game concept is.

EDIT: available here if anyone else wants it. (It will stop working in 10 days)

Thanks.

Ok thanks guys, sent it to you all. Hopefully it isn't a completly poor attempt at a game :p

Here's what it should look like:
device.png

So there is the wind indicator at the top which effects horizontal shot placement, and health at the bottom. Medkits, Relocation Kits, and Map reveal kits placed in the map. And kill counts bottom corner. A selection of different scope reticles are also included.

You can map a hardware fire key in the options if you dont like the touch screen key.

1st thing to note is that the words seem to be cut off abit at the top, of the screen. if you get me, but i will ahve a proper play in a second and will edit this post.

could be the silyl nexus one screen, but it seems at times, the sniper kinda... goes where it wants to, rather then where iam telling it. if you see waht i mean.

and maybe the option to have sound on or off, at the start?

Ah, first impressions is that I think it's kinda snazzy and colorful and that it reminds me of Rainbow Six Vegas Terrorist hunt. For a sniping game, I think you should more neutral colors when you get around to it?

Also, the controls take a little getting used to, I just completed it on the lowest difficult setting because I was getting pwned on the other two difficulties as I sucked at aiming :p(maybe it's just me)

I'm not exactly a game developer, but I would say it's looking like a cool little game to pop some heads, if only the aim was easier to use :)

The other thing I didn't see is a help menu, explaining the UI and stuff!

Edit:

On the second level on my Desire, it's impossible to aim at the med kit and exp thing, since it's right at the bottom left and the cursor didn't seem to reach them :)

Ok thanks a lot for the feedback so far guys, big help.

Todo list:

- Make it a little 'darker'
- Sound controls
- UI tutorial / help

And ill try and work out why the words are being cut off, strange as they seem placed ok on my Nexus.

I want to try and make aiming easier but it's a bit difficult to work out how else to approach it.

call me a thicky thicky pants, but i cant seem to find the icon in the menu any more? played it once from installing it, but not cant seem to run it again?#

lol found it, the green icon confused me :/
