Pakistans pace bowlers will tear through the England top order! I am saying 2-1 to Pakistan. :D

:D our bowling attack is perfect at the moment with Asif and Aamir being the main wicket takers. My only concern is our frail batting line up with 2 noobs batting at 3 and 4...hopefully they can hit some form and cement their spots otherwise i can see us doing an 'England' ie batting collapse of epic proportions:p:D

Hopefully 4-0 to Pakistan...optimistic of course but someone needs to be:p:D

England have recalled Tim Bresnan to the squad after Amjal Shahzad had a problem with his foot yesterday. Shahzad is expected to be fit for the second test.

Pakistans bowling does look very formidable in the right conditions.

I don't have any faith in Tim bresnen, I can't see why the selectors pick him.

The teams are:

England: Andrew Strauss (captain), Alastair Cook, Jonathan Trott, Kevin Pietersen, Paul Collingwood, Eoin Morgan, Matt Prior (W), Graeme Swann, Stuart Broad, James Anderson, Steven Finn.

Pakistan: Salman Butt (captain), Imran Farhat, Azhar Ali, Umar Amin, Umar Akmal, Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal (W), Mohammad Aamer, Danish Kaneria, Umar Gul, Mohammad Asif.

England have won the toss and will bat first.

Didn't realise this started today, but at least the rest of my week is sorted :p

Just looking at Strauss' stats there, I thought he was a lot better than that  Average below 44 and a HS of only 177.

Don't rate Bresnan either - he seems like a kind of 'Ian Bell' character. Somebody who keeps getting picked when clearly doing nothing.

Shazhad seems to be a good option so would rather see him in the side. Graham Onions seems to have been given the boot.
