Streets of rage 1 - help me kill the ninja girls!

Hi guys , I've bought streets of rage for my iPhone and am really enjoying it!

I've completed the game before as a youngun but never on normal mode before.

I only have 3 lives per continue and have 3 continues.

I can get all the way to the last level only having lost 1 continue but keep getting battered by the 2 ninja girls at the end before fighting mr x - they killed me like 6 times!!

Keeps happening, so does anyone have any tips - can't let the game beat me... iPhone almost went into the wall earlier :)

Haha, the problem I find with those games on my iPhone (I've only got sonic 2) is the bloody touch screen makes it near impossible to actually play well!
 
Never get stuck between them or let them attack from behind you, if you do see one going in for the grab use your back attack. Try to let them approach you from the front and attack when they're in grabbing range, never try and chase them down if they start to flip away. If they do manage to throw you do the safe land move, I think it's both attack and jump button and up on the d-pad at the same time, do it just before you hit the ground and you should land on your feet.

You just gotta be patient with them, don't rush in and get cornered and you should be able to wear them down.
 
Who are you playing as? The trick is to hit them so they are down and stand right over them before they have a chance to get up, swinging your punches! Also if you time it so their flying kicks miss you, then all you need to do is move down or up into them when they land to grab and batter them.

I THINK this is the way to kill them.
 
i love the music in that game, but a mega drive controller would own that iphone screen controls. i think i got a emulator and rom ages ago to complete this game.
 
Guys what iPhone do you use do play these games ? I wouldn't mind getting one but i want one that plays the top games and that doesn't have graphics like the old Gameboy.

Sorry for the thicky question but the last phone i had was in 1995 so you could say i am way behind the times lol.

Played my games on a 3GS but now I have iphone 4. Games play exactly the game performance wise.
 
I always just used to wait until they jumped and then grab them when they landed, it seemed the easiest way
 
One of them will do flying kicks, and the other will do somersaults over you. Go for the one that does somersaults, and try to grab her as she lands. Knee, knee, jump over, suplex. Repeat until there's just one left, and then she'll alternate between kicks and somersaults, meaning you can do the same thing again.

I have a SoRs on my Wii VC. :cool:
 
EDIT: My mistake. Punch them first once, then move in for the grab. You have to be close, and quick, as they recover from your punches fast.
