A factor recycles paper plates for use in its canteen.

Nine used plates are needed to make each new plate. From 665 used plates, how many new plates can possibly be made in total?

74 plates can be made initially, however these plates can then be recycled again to make another 9 plates, which can then be used to make 1 more

So in total, 84 plates?

Edit: Assuming 73.8 is rounded up to 74

665/9 = 73.8...

so 73 new + 8 unrecycled

73/9 = 8.11... so 8 more new and 1 unrecycled

now have 9 unrecycled so 1 more new

now have 9 plates, so add another 1

73+8+1+1 = 83 plates

Might need to look at their paper pulp recovery system as that's a shocking percentage.
