Applied for some jobs

Hi all. Just got back from my interview which lasted over 2 hours. It went really well and not one for blowing my own trumpet but I think I might have bagged it.:D

Had a quick chat with the HR manager in the customer cafe and she got me a coffee which was a nice touch. Met the stroe manager who has only been there a few months himself. Had the interview in one of the offices with both the HR and Stroe manager. Answered loads of questions and fired a fair few back at them. Over all they seemed impressed and the HR manager had a big grin on her face and couldnt thank my enough for coming along.

The position I went for was the Meat Supervisor/Manager and they have not had one for sometime and the department looked a little ropey to say the least. LOTS of room for improvement, which is what I can achieve for them.

Not as busy as Morrisons and not taking as much money but the average trolly is worth around £3000 so its all bulk buying.

The money side of things, she asked how much I was one and what the lowest I could go to and what I idealy wanted. I told her.

38 hours a week.

I think they will match my current salary or just top it.

Its with Makro in Nottingham. They are currently having a re-fit which will help with the store.

I will be called up in the next two days with thier decision.

Fingers crossed.:)

Firstly well done. Sounds like it went well

£3000 a trolly?? Thats some expensive meat (or some very big trolly)

Whats  about 38 hours a week? Average is 37.5 (9 - 5.30) with a 1 hour lunch break

£3000 is a trolly from the whole store not just the mest section.:p Its main customer base are Hotels, Resturants that sort of thing. If you got a Hotel that houses 300 guests your gonna need a lot of bog rolls and Tea bags for a month.:D

I went  at 38 hours because I do 45-50 at Morrisons. If I do get the job and same salary or there about its win win to me. Less hours equal dosh not as stressfull as my current job I will have pretty much autonomy on the meat department as what I think might help sales etc we can do. Its not all like retail where each store has the same offers in the same places at the same time. The Store manager can do what he likes and puts if to head office if it doesnt work out. Its all good.
