What sort of company is it? What is going to be in the boxes??
Is the OP young and not had very many jobs?
I would just help, especially if you are not busy and the warehouse staff are understaffed they may just get rid of you and employ a warehouse bod, If you help out then you are adding another string to your bow which could go onto your CV.
No offence but you sound how i sounded when i was 17 and not worked for long, I soon realised that i worked for the company so would do anything to help out or possibly be made redundant.
Yup you need formal instruction on unloading heavy items at work as well, which you clearly don't have. They can't touch you for it.
Processing some data on a computer and doing manual labour is a massive difference.
Are you being serious!? Want me to hold your hand in the warehouse?I know that they will point it and laugh at me for the next few months if I help them with this job (I know them too well now).
I work in IT together with my manager and to be honest there isn't much to do for me so sometimes
I told him I didn't want to do this over the telephone as this wasn't my job and he told me to think about it.
I am seriously getting tired working here due to lack of work .
No need to do it wearing a mini skirt, can't you change into a pair of trousers or something more suitable? There is also another reason why I don't wanna help guys downstairs, I know that they will point it and laugh at me for the next few months if I help them with this job (I know them too well now).
