Car reversed into

A few weeks ago a guy reversed into the front of my car.
Took his details and got a quote the following morning for £590.
I phoned the guy up and told him the price.....after he'd finished spitting out his cornflakes I just said "Look, it will cost what it costs - do you want to go through insurance?"

In the end he took the phone number for the repair centre and spoke to the guy who had given me a quote.
He then called me back half an hour later to say he'd negotiated a discount and the new quote was £490 :)

Hats off to the guy.
I still got my car repaired via the main dealers and he managed to get £100 knocked off - everyone happy!

Lol

should have used Europa or Helphire, they would have prevented you having to deal with the back tracking after finding out they are ripping off themselves.

Ha ha I thinks it's funny, now they are asking if I had a guaranteed hire car on my policy and if I had legal protection, I'm insiting on a like for like car by Wednesday because I have meetings all day Thursday and that's when they are picking the mazda up,

Enterprise said all they have is Puntos left (liars) so I've asked for a Merc, they also asked if I can pick it up, nope delivery please :D

When my X3 was in for work at the bodyshop they gave me a Clio so i kicked up a stink, Aviva authorised a Range Rover sport at (£80 per day hire) which I had for 8 weeks due to their sheer incompetence.

All that needed doing was an MOT after a minor repair, instead it sat at Sytners Leicester for 8 weeks gathering dust.

Don't accept a fob off say you need the car for sales calls and lots of travelling.

I used helphire when my Asta got bashed last year, they were great!

They got me a newer better model astra than mine (mine= 54 1.7cdti).

I was gutted when I got the call to drop it off and pick mine up.

It's a Mondeo!!

Haven't seen it yet it's at home, miissus says it's too big she won't drive it but she's oK driving the Mazda 6

Sounds a bit cheap to me, only £80 a day!

Mondeo 1.8d tdci Zetec

Awful really awful, feels like your always in the wrong gear, minute power band, interior nice but no gadgets apart from A/C and it's massive compared to the Mazda 6

It's the absolute povvo spec model with the low power engine :(

I can imagine it being quite nice with a decent lump but this is quite tedious and irritating, I was looking forward to driving it to work tomorrow as a change to my 125 but I think I'll ride
