I have this thought rolling around in my head that I saw an advert for a site that you could send old pcbs into and they would send you cash. nuch like sites for old mobile phones.

I can't find anything on the net now, did i dream this or does these companies exist.

might be mate, i swear i saw an advert on the net last week and i thought i'll need to remember that when i'm getting rid of old machines

No names come to mind, but i do know there are companies that buy old PCB's and melt down the copper tracks to use/resell.

There are places that will take old PCB, etc. but they are usually quite specific about what they take (hardware with known high quantities of copper, gold, etc.)
