Antec 300 Owners Few Questions.

I'm looking to buy this case sometime soon either this week or next,

But heard i would need to buy some extra cable cos most standard ones are too short.

Any ideas which cable i would actually need ?

a dont own one but have built one for a friend and he needed an extra 8 pin mobo cable

I didn't need any when I had mine. That was with an OCZ ModXStream 780w, what psu are you using?

What kind of cables do you mean MadMan?...extensions for your PSU?

I've got a 300 case and I've never needed any extensions, although I did recently put a hole in the motherboard side panel and opened up a hole in the top corner to route my 8 pin power cable behind the mobo panel for better cable management.

Black & white dots mark roughly where the holes were made.

Mine with the old motherboard, so all the holes are in the wrong places now.

Good cases for beginner modding if you ask me.

I've got one and didnt need any extensions but im going to mod the case and get a 4 pin extension as at the moment its straight across the middle over the top of graphics card etc

It's called, a PSU.....

It's just an old knackered 300W El Crappo PSU with a knackered fan. I stripped the internals, chopped a big hole in the back and all my cables are crammed in there, along with 3 Antec Fan Mates.

The power cables for the 5830 come out of the hole for the original PSU cables, and I reckon there is room for another....

Also provides a nice plinth for an SSD.

If you look around you can get them cheaper than that. I know one place online was selling cheapo 300W PSUs for £7 a while back.
