Best out of these 2 please :)

With both being the same price at the moment then the Asus P6X58D-E is a clear winner. Even when its at normal price i still think it beats the gigabyte.

But for gaming both will be the same, so its all about which u prefer.

Can someone tell me why the Asus is better?

Why i recomend the asus for is that it has a far better Phase Power, then the gigabyte, in turn this means cooler running mobo, and some people will say this is means nothing.

Iv seen many times on this forum and other forums people with the gigabyte board having there mobo's running 60-70c, my asus has never ever gone over 47c, even with all my fans at there lowest speed, and is generally 40c.

That and the Asus P6X58D-E is the exact same mobo as the premium version costing well over £200, but with usb3/sata3 on it, 1 less heatpipe, and better raid.

So in essence ur getting a £200+ mobo for a lot less.

Both the asus and the gigabyte boards are good, i won't knock the gigabyte, but in my eyes at that price range the asus one is better.

Interesting, thanks for that Bif.

No probs, i totally have no brand loyalty these days, i just try and get the best i can get for my money, no matter what brand.

So if the asus is within budget for people, id allways recommend that, if when they are at normal prices, and that extra £10 means going over budget, then by all means the gigabyte is still a stonking mobo no doubt, i nearly went for it myself to behonest, but ended up, upping my budget by a tenner in the end lol.

Oh god i just spotted my spelling mistake, i either need sleep, or lots more coffee lol.

But yeh its a cracking mobo, im sure you will enjoy it.
