I was wondering if anyone has been in Glasgee airport for a long ammount of time before? Just I've got a 9hr stop over until my flight to Newark next Tue\Wed... Is there a coffee shop that is open all night in departures or anything like that? How much does their wifi cost for like, 9hrs? Any info on this airport would be ace. :)

Ta.

There are two airports Glasgow International (a regular large international airport) and Prestwick (basically a big shed attached to the freight terminal) those comments being for Prestwick, check which airport your flying from??

Hi.
Theres a lot of new areas in the departures side including the laz-e-boy style sun lounger chairs which are nice for sleeping, used them first hand.
Pretty sure theres no where open all night for coffee and food but theres a wetherspoons and other usual bars and stuff.
Personally Id see if the hotels at the airport have any cheap rooms if its nine hours but if you can amuse yourself and sleep ok in airports do it!
This applies to Glasgow international ad not Prestwicjk btw.

Bound to be a coffee machine at least, doubt there will be a 24hr shop.

Starbucks is 24 hrs but only in summer;)

There might be more ones open but can't be bothered to check all of Glagow's airport website.

Most shops and cafes are closed between 10pm and 4am though

There's a coffee shop/cafe upstairs in the Check In hall that I believe to be 24 hours. It was open at 2am last December. Edit, just checked the website, it is open. Before security. As said, Starbucks is 24 hours. They usually have big comfy seats that you could probably snooze on.

There is also a business lounge that commoners can pay to get into, though it is only open between 05:00 - 19:30. Costs £18.

You can sleep on my couch for £100! I'll even cook you a home cooked meal for that price. :D

I believe it's the international one - as I don't think that a flight to the states would be going out of Preswick. :)

But yeah, reading around I'm sure I'll be alright, just need to tidy the laptop up and load it with Sparticus: Blood and Sand and I'll be sorted.
