Ibiza

Haha I'd probably not goto ibiza rocks again. Deafening music when you are trying to sleep in the morning and then silent and nothing going on after 9pm when you are getting ready to go out. The only good thing about the week over any other hotel was the prodigy!!

My room wasn't far from where that photo was taken, I was room 530 so a bit closer to the stage but while south central and prodigy were on I was right near the front of the stage :)
 
The video Jambo posted on page 3 was class. Joey productions is amazing, I also watched the Whistler video which is good. The vodka bottles snaking on the floor was some good editing and lold at the guy posing on the luggage escalator & swimming pool

Makes me really want to go back this year but I cant see it happening somehow :(

We moved rooms about half way through (925/926), the first few nights we had a great nights sleep then we moved to 428/427, which where a lot louder.

I just want to go back for the closing parties now. I didn't like Eden though as I though it was a bit of a sweat box.

Privilege who has Testo playing is probably the best clubbing experience I have had to date yet.
 
Just waiting on the ok from my mate and I am gonna book the closing parties as they are over my birthday LOL
 
I've been back for a couple of weeks now, was awesome :)

Tiesto and Priviledge was probably the highlight for me, and Hed Kandi at Es Paradis was also good. Winning two free tickets into Hed Kandi on my birthday was good.

Didn't like Eden really at all, but that might of been down to Pete Tong who I thoguht was awful. Didn't hear him play one song I knew and a lot of the crowd would know to get them going. Someone who wroks at Ibiza rocks was in agreement as well.

Didn't really rate Amnesia, the main room doesn't have any proper lasers and the second room was substantially bigger with better lights? Also Armin went straight into his set with no introduction or pause which I thought was a bit poor.

Oh... and the no camera thing, can anyone elaborate? Was a nightmare after waiting for so long to get into Priviledge then having to go and wait again to put the camera away.

Ibiza Rocks though... never again I think. Was full of young people and decent music but i'm a very light sleeper and being woke up constantly and not being able to sleep through the music knackered me out a bit. My mates can sleep through anything so they didn't care.

Did you look at any other hotels? The other rooms we had 925/926 where very quiet and where a massive contrast to the stage view rooms.

On thing that did annoy me is the security at the Ibiza Rocks is pretty good, so you can't really bring people back.

EDIT: The closing parties looks good.

I thought Amnesia was immense and has been my best clubbing experience to date (and best night ever) It was cream meets goodgreef with eddie halliwell and adam sheridan. There wasnt any of the turd ed-it stuff he does now either

I remember when Push - The Legacy was played. I felt like I melted into the floor when it was being played :o:rolleyes:

I also did Cream Amnesia this year and took this video of Eddie's drop of Swedish House Mafia - One which I think that he started his set with. It's the best track of 2010 for me, what a night :)

Lots of various ice cannon action going on here!
 
Going for the first time on the 21st of august for a week, really looking forward to it! Trying to gauge which clubs to visit and what are the 'must do' things whilst out there from this thread.

We'll be staying at the laura which was mentioned earlier, everything i've read about it has been positive which is good!
Went malia in mid june, had an awesome time there so wondering how this will compare.

I went malia in 2008, and Zante last year. Ibiza is another level, those crappy greek islands do not even compare

Me too! :)

Make sure you goto pizza loca if you want some food. Opposite Hotel Del Mar near the west end. Opens 8pm-4am and the bloke is a legend. The pizza is homemade awesomeness and you get a massive slice for 2.50, 2 slices fills you up easily. He will also sell you beer and vodka based drinks cheap too! Also he offered us a ride to amnesia at 2am in his car as he was shutting shop early to goto cream but we went earlier. And also when the taxi queue was too big we went there and he had a mate take us to pacha at 100mph in a brand new audi a6 and knew the blokes on the door so got us queue jump.

Probably not, I've stayed at Del Mar and Central City before and whilst basic they were fine and all I want from a hotel out there. Close to bars/taxi's, quiet in the day, rooms cleaned daily and good aircon.

I stayed with some girls in a massive hotel overlooking the egg a couple of days last year, can't remember the name but the rooms were very old and stupidly hot!

I'm thinking about this in september. don't really want to have to draw on my savings though so if i said £600-£700 spending money for a week how would I be doing?

(after a week in magaluf starting this saturday my liver will be cursing me)
