basically is it worth the extra 37 quid for the 1gb version, the rest of my spec is in my sig. How much of an impact would only having 768mb have on gaming performance? I play dirt2, mw2 and ive got bc2 yet to install.

Dirt2 seems to have unusually high video memory requirements, so you might have some issues if you turn everything up to shinyshiny.

Might not apply for all the GTX460 1GB, but you can a Gigabyte GTX460 1GB for under £190. For the extra £35~£40, you get 256MB more memory, 8 more ROPs and most important an awesome Gigabyte twin fan cooler that it quiet even at 70% fan speed.

Don't think Dirt 2 or MW2 would be a problem , but bc2 may stretch the 768mb card a bit too far.
Both the 768 and 1GB cards seem to be around the 30 fps 'min' at your res with 4x AA with the 768 card a little under it. Both cards average low to mid 40s.
Up to you how sensitive you are to the MIN 30fps rule?
