eBay and phones

Now I know my feedback is only small...Just 6 but I've had a bid from someone with 0 feedback, I'm a bit dubious about it. I don't want to be left high and dry.

Whats the best plan of action?

I know we've all to start somewhere, but still...

If you want to be very careful. Cancel the bid, put in your listing that bidders with feedback below 5 should contact you before bidding. Then get them to give you a ring. Should filter out the nigerian scammers, as it's a bit of effort.

This is why I always use Buy-it-nows. If a zero feedback person bids, they have 24hrs to give me a payment (which isn't a fake paypal email). Otherwise relist and claim back fees.

But hasn't...I'll leave it for now but cheers for the link, I'm sure I'll come back to it. :)

That link did come in handy as he's been linked to buying something before but no feedback was left.

Not a good sign. You probably know that sellers can't leave negative or neutral feedback. It's positive or nothing.

Aaah well it was over a replacement nokia battery for £1.99 that he did a buy it now on, but never got the positive feedback.

Now to find the feedback settings tool...

Cheers

Have bid on or bought my items within the last 10 days and met my limit of 5

Only apply this block to buyers who have a feedback score equal to or lower than 5

Bit new on me, so does that look correct?

Thanks.

Interesting. Never seen that filter before. Must be new.

Seems to be what you're after.

Buyers with no credit card on file
Block buyers who do not have a credit card on file.
Only apply this block to buyers who have a feedback score of 543210 or lower.

Of course don't buy it. Why would you send a bank transfer payment which can't be reversed?

Don;t need gut feelings for this. An obvious scam.

To follow up on this, it seems the seller has received positive feedback on the bold 9700, but on a different listing which kept identities private.

37 were sold with prices as low as £150. I hope that none of them paid using bank transfer, even if the seller does have the phones. Think about how tempted he/she may be to not post the ones for which payment was via BT, as its a lot of money.

Far to risky for my liking, no matter how much I wanted a sim free 9700, got one on voda for £230 bnib anyhow, ah well.

I still find that listing hard to believe, I mean brand new sim free in box 9700's for £150 are you kidding me?

I had this back from eBay today, so glad I didn't pay and feel sorry for the 37 people that might have!
