Show your appreciation

Friday, July 30, 2010, is the 11th annual System Administrator Appreciation Day. On this special international day, give your System Administrator something that shows that you truly appreciate their hard work and dedication. (All day Friday, 24 hours, your own local time-zone).

Wooop!

Well I have admin rights, so am given thats me!

Can't see anyone caring, I may bring it up with the boss! :)

They need to move this out of the summer hols tbh.

I am SystemAdmin in a school and NO-ONE IS IN!!!! :-(

Same :( to be honest the most appreciation we were get is the last day of term when people say thanks for our hard work throughout the year........but this year we had one, ONE person out of 200 members of staff said thank you, not even our line manager bothered to say anything, they all dont seem to realise we're working all summer either :(

Hmm tempted to send this to all staff working today ;) I work in a sixth form college and only personnel and finance are in at the moment though.
Teachers are always really shocked when they learn we work through the summer, as was the electronics technician who does as much easier job for 5 grand more and is term time only, yeah I'm not bitter ;).

In fairness they do often show gratitude and we get loads of boxes of heroes/biscuits etc for with our tea.

Just sent the link round at work.. We're not technically Sys Admin's, we're developers, but we look after our own network / file servers etc...

Happy Sys Admin Day either way :D

I've told everyone about this, no one has any presents for me but I do intend on doing very little today!

what do i gets me?
Another sys admin here, got 1200 Users on the floor today, should all chip in a £ to me o think.
