EA backstabs pc gamers. Battlefield 3 console game

If you expected BC2 to be any different to BF2 or BF2142 I pity you, this is how the franchise is and always has been, there is little to no support.

I didn't play any of the previous BF series until BFBC2 was released, so it was my first experience with the **** that is DICE and EA.
I feel however that I was one of the few that hadn't already put hundreds f hours into BF2 but still got caught up with the release, praised it for the first 2 months than shot it down in flames when they found out exactly how buggy it was.

I'll only get burnt once, I'm certainly not buying into BF3

Erm, wasn't BF2 released on consoles as well as the PC, but under a different title? Under Modern combat?

What is to stop DICE, developing the base of the game as one - like buildings and the physics of the game, and then splitting off and creating bigger maps and more detailed textures for the PC verison.

Modern Combat was a horrible game. Again, not bad for a console game but not a patch on previous BF games. I hope they do put some more effort in on the PC version. I want huge maps, plane combat, proper tank battles as well as infantry combat. I'm afraid all we'll get is infantry combat again with a few vehicles thrown in. A la BC2.

I wasn't really expecting them to make it PC only. But what I'm expecting is 128 player maps and tons and tons of military hardware. And a FOV you can play with. Hopefully vastly improved engine, too. If it's yet another 32 player game then we have only the consoles and their ridiculous memory limits to blame.

Unless there is some huge ****ing bombshell which gives BF3 a cut of the epicness that was BF2 most people will buy it still, mainly with regards to map size and player count. BF2 was buggy as ****, but the game was so fun it was worth sitting through the bugs, it was a true game with lots and lots of vehicle combat and just general enjoyment. If BF3 has the same promises as what BF2 had then I'll get it, weather it's a port or not. If it's missing fundamental features I'll skip it.

I wont sit here and whine though yet until details are announced about it.

As well, BC2 had more features than BC1 did - as I'm aware BC2 has better destructible environments. Isn't it possible that they'll build on what they've done on BC2, and then expand it, once its been optimized for bigger maps and more vehicles + planes?

LOL how many people are going to buy the crappy MOH game just to get the BF3 beta !

this is beginning to become a common tactic for developers, one which stinks.

the new MOH is generic rubbish, tired gameplay that offers nothing new from the original MOH series.

I don't want them to build on BC2, I don't think any fan of the franchise would, Battlefield is a completely different game, has to be done from scratch properly to be a success imo.

BF2 was developed as a PC exclusive through and through. at the time no console could render graphics like that.

Battlefield 2: Modern Combat was basically what Battlefield 2 would have been if it were produced in 1999.

but this time, BF3 will be designed for consoles first and foremost, and the PC port will be an irritating afterthought to the developers.

Console gamers lap up generic rubbish, just look at COD, Fifa, Halo etc etc.

People seem to forget the amount of bugs BF2 had at release.

Yes we whine, but a proper PC first version of BF3 made for PC really would be superb :D.

Bring it to console, hell bring it cross platform (pc vs consoles), but please develop it with PC's in mind.

There is a reason why we buy new hardware and have 6gb of ram :p
