The wife's Fiesta is in need of new tyres and I'm looking for something that'll last a little. I love the Toyo T1-Rs on my Focus but as I only do 6k a year the wear rate isn't a problem, The wife doing 16k using it for work wouldn't be economical!

Suggestions?

The Toyos are so cheap on camskill they are prolly still cheaper than the Michelins that will be almost 3 times the cost even if you need to have them changed more often !

Michelin energy savers seem to last well on the C3 but dont offer the same grip as the toyos on my car (not a fair comparison tbh)

Be careful with long lasting tyres, they're almost certainly a harder rubber which will be less grippy under braking and even more so in the wet.

If you can, get some independent advice from a tyre specialist who is not affiliated to one make.

Compare the price of tyre to what your motoring costs are overall and factor in a decent tyre, it's what lies between you and solid ground.

See if Honest John at the Telegraph has any advice.

Andi.
