Ok heres my problem, every time I buy a new pair of trainers I have to replace them every 2 or 3 weeks because of my wonky feet.

The outside heel edge wears down massively compared to the rest of the shoe and looks crappy very quickly.

Does anyone else have this problem and if so is there any solution bar a set of Forest Gump leg callipers ?

I was thinking maybe there could be some kind of wedge shape insert or insole I could use to counter my weird gait.

I've included a picture to explain better:

I am fully prepared for the onslaught of *&%$ taking comments that my predicament will no doubt bring !

Yes go see your gp and get referred. You need some
Orthotics to correct it.

Every 2-3 weeks? Damn, I'd take them back if they wore that badly after such a short time. Oh, and I'd stop walking like Dale Winton if I were you too ;)

This.

How long has this been going on? Surely it would occur to you that you should see a doctor as soon as you noticed your feet were not normal...

It's been going on for as long as I can remember really, I haven't seen a doctor or anything because I didn't really think it was a medical problem, just an unfortunate way my feet are.

I used to ride BMX and skateboard quite a lot as a teenager and sprained both ankles a few times so it could from then ?

I'll book an appointment and see what they say.

Haha, I dont walk funny. At least nobody has mentioned anything, it's just the way my feet hang when I pick them up to walk. You can't notice anything.

I've tried every type of footwear from running shoes to skate shoes to proper shoes and the wear is the same.

Don't wear any shoes.

You'll start to wear down your heel and so it'll force you to re-approach the way you walk.

Walking over rough concrete will help speed this process up.

i feel your pain OP i have the same problem although its over a period of 6 months
i dont walk funny or drag my feet just wear the outsides out

Go to a proper running shop where you can have a MOT on your feet.
They will get you on a treadmill and watch your gait and with the correct shoes you should be OK.
If it is too much then a trip to the Podiatrist to see if you need orthotics.
