So you're in Phuket, need to get somewhere and back and Taxi is going to cost you a good £10. One way. Why bother when for £10 you can hire a Suzuki Caribbean for 24 hours.
Most fun I have had in a rental ever.
Feast your eyes on this stock google image which represents my beast.
List of "niggles":
- Lights are out of adjustment (I look like 2 scooters from in-front)
- 2 inches of play in steering in either direction before any input is transferred
- Suspension is pretty shot
- 2nd gear up-shifts are temperamental
- Interior light is bust
- Temp gauge is bust
- It squeaks and rattles, everywhere
- Aircon is present, and "works"
- Wipers work but are wonky as hell
- Pulls to left
- Brake pedal is 4 inches higher than clutch and accelerator
- The key is Mitsubishi branded
- It's nowhere near in the condition the pic might depict
It's not got a clock, power-steering, ANYTHING electric but it's got a whole load of character and throwing around potholed, camber crazy Thai roads with 4 people + 1 in the boot (Being burnt by the exhaust in close proximity below the floor) was he best hoot I have had in a long while.
I salute thee Mitsuzuki Caribbean.
