Bit of a pointless post but still annoying none the less. Went over to finish bits on my fiesta today. Fitted a 2.0 Zetec into it and had finishing touches to do on it. Anyways, went to change the spark plugs and suprise suprise.. one snaps in the head! :mad: Really annoying as i had to take the head off to get it out :( Ah well thought id share some misfortune with you. Anyone else had similar missfortune ?
 
Yep, on the old 1600 TS.

Fitting the 7th spark plug and the thing just keeps turning. ****, the thread's stripped, no wait, the plug is just broken.

As it was never torqued up it was easy to remove though.
 
Managed to snap the banjo bolt for the oil feed to the turbo on my old Mondeo. Not a massive disaster, but nobody made banjo bolts the right size so I had to replace the whole feed pipe.

Its that horrible sinking ******** feeling when youre just finishing up a long job and something like that happens
 
i had one of my spark plugs come out the engine the other day just as i was coming off the A34 as someone before i got the car crossthreaded it in the head so it doesnt stay in properly. Luckily it stayed attached to the lead so i still had it to plug back in :p
