As you guys know i been wanting a iMac for a while now and tomorrow is the day I heading to Meadowhall apple store...

I have decided to go for the 27" 3.2ghz i3 iMac is this going to be nice and good for what i do...

That all i be using on it... Maybe Photoshop one day but i got be carful with budget.

You can get photoshop dirt cheap if you know someone who is a student. I got all of CS design suite for £300.

You wont regret getting the iMac it's a great piece of kit. :D

I'm still testing OSX but next year I will buy a mac mini as I already own a nice 24" monitor.

Yes, yes I know I said I ordered oine, but wel,l use your imagination about my "testing". :D
 
But no one has said that it be plenty good enough for me needs? As i won't be gaming or anything on it at all....

Don't know any students at all all i want is cs5 Photoshop anyone want get it me ;)

Goodness me, you're blowing a packet there for the simple things you'll be using it for. Just get a cheap PC and install a Linux distro on it???
 
No chance i love mac I have had a MacBook pro for 3 years and it struggling now with those simple things too..

I ave all software for mac too so be daft moving away don't you think.

Also aperture 3 can be hungry for speed did you know
 
Ignore him, Rookies. If you check his posts he clearly only comes into the Apple forums with negative comments looking for a response. I believe that's called 'trolling'.
 
Yeah ban him from here :) have emailed apple at Meadowhall to see if they got stock before I drive in as showing unavailable in the online reserve system....

Nope as Meadowhall store not emailed me back with stock level and can't get through on phone. Hope hear from them by tmr afternoon then I go in the evening.

While I am waiting for them any one here want say I should get next one up? Or is the one I choose plenty good enough.
 
Sigh, you can tell it's the school holidays. There's been a sudden influx of obnoxious 'gangster' level forum members. Ah well, only a few months until they **** off.

On topic, the 27" is more than good enough for your needs Rookies, it's a fantastic machine and I imagine you will be very happy with it :)
 
Let me know what you think of it, I only just recently got my 17" macbook pro been using for web development and design. absolutely love it. must say this laptop is great got a huge 50" display I plug into at work for my design and programming. Such lovely machines lol.

oi, I am still a "gangster" level member and I've been here since 07. I just lurk more than I post :P haha.
 
I should be going in after work about 6 before i do wonder if anyone can say if i went for th i5 quad core would i really see a different to my eyes? Doing what I attend to do..
 
No, you'll be fine. I do loads of programming stuff with the last revision C2D 27inch iMac just fine.
