Hey guys.

Been getting some excessive fan noise from my GTX 260 as of late, doesnt happen all the time, but when it does its a loud buzzing/slight vibrating noise.

Just wondering if this is covered by warranty? its between 1 and 2 years old, its one of the slight overclocked ones bought from here :)

Thanks, Lawz

I guess a lot depends on how consistent it is and if it'll do it for them.

sadly this is the case, I sent my 5870 away due to the fan doing a similar noise as you describe and they said no fault found, charging me a nice £22 return shipping -.-

Cheers for the replies :)

Would including a video of it help? It does indeed only do it sometimes, usually when throttling up

I was wondering this also but I doubt it would help as they'd just blame something else in the system (just like they did with mine, yet for 4 days with another card my system was silent. Soon as I put the 5870 back in the same old silly noise comes back)

I've sent an rma complaint off now and if that doesn't get acted on this will be the last time I ever buy from ocuk and ati to be fair.

Cant you go to a small claims court ?

You get your purchase price plus interest @ 9% IIRC.
