Closest you came to a lot of money.....relatively.

My sister had 1.6million accidentally transferred to her account lol - taken back a few days later.

Company I used to work for "owes" me atleast 300K at the going rate for work done - but I did it at "mates rates" instead as the owner is a friend and was struggling to keep the company going at the time.

£300k is a lot of handjobs.

I was one card away from a Royal Flush on Ultimate Texas Hold'em in Vegas. With the size of my ante that would have been $6k.

My sis' playing next to me had the 10 spades that I needed, so one card away from being in my hand.

I take it you didnt grass him up?

No why would i??...i didnt know at the time it was 'dirty/drug' money..if i had then it would have been different but none of my business as far as i was concerned. He got caught so deserved everything he got...and hes not someone i was close with as it was...just did him a favour. What he did in his business or what he got up to was none of my business.

I used to work at a carwash and did a wash and hoover on some guy's drop top 3 series that had a safeway bag full of notes under the passenger seat.

Probably a 10" x 10" x 6" block of money.

my dad was asked to go in as a partner in petroline when his mate started the company, he didn't want to risk investing his life savings due to having a young family...the company was sold for £104 million in 1999

his mate now runs his own race track in spain and is the creator of Askari :(

Holy ****, lifetime regret right there.

My uncle won £60k on the pools in the late 60s or early 70s not sure what. That was a lot of money back then easily enough to retire on.

Within 15-20 was all gone and he was back living in a council house in Slough, my what a mug

My uncle handed me a suitcase for my birthday (i was about 8) told me to open it, and it had 10k in, then took at away and gave me a dartboard.

It smelt so nice -.-

a mates granddad worked on a fruit and veg stall with one of his mates, that mate asked him to go into business, he wanted to start a supermarket, but he didn't want to risk it so stayed on the stall. That supermarket was called tesco....
Lesson learnt, never let an opportunity pass you by

i got an email from a Nigerian dude offering me $20,000,000 that was in my name in a bank account. I only had to give him $5000 to release it but I didn't have it at the time :(

Nice one :-D

A mate's parents had their numbers written down for a lotto draw in the late 90s. They forgot to print the ticket and all 6 numbers were reportedly drawn. This was a mate in school,so he may have made it up.
