Hi

I have as the title suggests a 5.1 headset and also a 5.1 speaker set. I like to use the headset from time to time and also the speakers. However my soundcard only has one set of ports for the connectors to go into and it's getting quite irratating to keep unplugging and replugging the connectors when ever i want to change from speaker to headset.

So....

Does anyone know if there is somthing like a multi connection box which i can plug into my soundcard and then have both connected and use which one i want as and when. Bit like a multi plug?

I have seen one before, that allows 3 I think, 5.1 analogue output device connections. For the life of me I can't find it now, nor can I remember how much it costs, even if it can still be bought. They seem quite rare though.

A cheaper solution would be to have splitter cables.

cheers, i hadn't thought of that! any idea where i can get some?

The world famous auction site. ;)

Don't buy the cheapest you can find though. I bought some really cheap ones for my dads PC a while back, 1 was fine, the other the jack wobbled in the socket, which breaks the connection. They don't have to be expensive, Belkin would be fine, about £3-4 each. Cheaper is more tempting, but if it might provide a crap connection, better to pay a quid or so more IMO. :)

If you don't use the famous auction site, probably the Amazonian rainforest site would provide some results. ;)
