OcUK Value GeForce GTX 460 1024MB, worth it?

Hi mate,

Would you not consider a 5770 and save yourself quite a few pennies?
I believe performance is roughly comparable? Let me know what you think.

B1ng.

B1ng, correct me if i'm wrong, but from what i've been reading the 460 outperforms the 5770 in most ways, if not all. I could go with a 5770, but my budget allows me to get this 460. Am I mistaken in the comparison?

Are you serious?

The 5770 has nothing on the gtx 460, for only 25-30 pounds less it would be stupid to buy the 5770 unless you're really desperate.

I went to ocuk on thursday and i asked for a zotac and an ocuk card to be ordered thru from the warehouse.

The OcUK one was a Palit.

Obviously you get what you pay for in terms of GFX performance, was merely offering a more budget friendly solution! Depending on what you play and at what resolution, a single 5770 will do the job.

He said a gaming rig though....a 5770 doesn't come close to touching a 460 in any situation. Bang for buck the 460 is a no brainer

Was this you?

"I got an inno3d and I think it has the stock cooler which is very good. Overclocked to 825/1650 with ease temps below 40degrees idle. Can't hear it over the other fans in my case with the fan at 40"

No? did it have my name by it?
