**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

I've just been able to play an online game, albeit I lost as it was my first ever time playing the game. Single player still isn't working :(

Go into your - StarCraft II\Support Folder and run the REPAIR.EXE file. See if that finds any corruption.

also give this a read - http://www.neowin.net/news/starcraft-2-causing-graphics-cards-to-overheat

which states:

go to the directory that you have installed Starcraft 2, and locate the "variables.txt" file. Possible directory may be this "Documents\StarCraft II\variables.txt".

Once you are at the .txt file, add the following:

frameratecapglue=30
frameratecap=60

Might not be related but it's worth a shot.

just played my first online and lol at the speed, 1-2 minutes into the game and me and my teammate get wiped out by reapers :(

need to seriously brush up on how im playing, need to know what to build first etc

If anyones up for a game tonight let me know.

Also my clanmate has said we can use his ventrilo server:

I'm using my webcam mic for now until my headset gets RMA'd, before anyone wonders why my mic is so bad.

Maybe slightly off topic, but can anyone recommend a place to buy the Starcraft comic books?
I have the special editions Issue 0 and would like to collect the series (big fan of graphic novels etc)
I've checked the bay but seems expensive...

Thank you, I shall try that now. :)

I started off really enjoying it but not so much anymore.

Every single mission has some stupid "quirk" to it - protect a convoy, blow up some train, kill Protoss before the Zerg do, collect minerals while lava randomly surges.

What happened to the good old fashioned "kill a base" mission?

I'm at the point where I have to choose between missions that involve:

a) Collecting gas faster than the Protoss
b) Collecting minerals faster than some idiot
c) Escorting some convoy

And I don't want to do any of them.

Finally sorted out the problem where the game kept crashing to the desktop! :)

Played the first few missions and enjoying it, glad I bought it now! :)

My friends list is empty at the moment, so if you'd like to add me then feel free!

I quite like the variety tbh otherwise it would be 29 skirmish missions.
