This will mainly be used for gaming, there will not be done any OC until its starting to fall behind.

I dont know if I should keep the 5870 or go to 470 and save money + get DX11?
And when the HDD stay its 6gb/s, that means it need Sata6, right?

Im abit behind on the knowledge as I havent checked forums for like 2 year now.

Any ideas or improvements is appreciated.

ASRock AMD 890FX.
XFX Radeon HD 5870 1GB GDDR5.
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition Six Core.
Cooler Master GX 750W PSU.
WD Caviar® Black 1TB 64MB Cache, Dual Processor.
Lite-On DVD+RW.
Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600MHz 4GB CL8.
Coolermaster HAF-922

you can get the HIS Radeon 5870 cheaper.
you can get away with cheaper ram too, maybe the corsair xms3 if there's dual channel kits of that, i have the tri channel kit and it's good gear.

personally i'd be going for an intel setup but it's really down to preference, the two changes above are all i'd suggest.

maybe some of the money saved could go towards a faster hdd, maybe a small velociraptor?

5870 is fully dx11 capable.
HDD is backwards compatible with sata3 ports, its a mechanical drive so you'll find virtually no difference in 3's and 6's. They never maxed out the controller before, they won't manage it now.

So you suggest ill stay with the 5870?

And btw, most Gigabyte 890FX MB's that i've found dont even support 1600MHz memory, how come? The one I wrote is one of the few that i found that support it.

There was some xms3 memory that you suggested, but it reads like this:
Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600MHz 4GB CL7
Kit w/2x 2GB XMS3 modules, CL7-8-7-20, for Core i5 and i7, 1.65V

Dont they like work with AMD?

Not bad, I would go with an Asus, Gigabyte or MSI motherboard instead.

Get this 5870.

Get some cheaper RAM like this as you won't notice the difference between it and the Dominator stuff.

Go with an Antec, Corsair or OCZ PSU, preferably modular 650w+

Ditch the SATA 6gb/s HDD for something like this

I'll go with the HIS 5870, seems like a lot like that one.

But about MB, Im not really a fan of ASrock either, but cant find a decent 890FX MB that support 1600MHz ram? Any wanna link a few that might be purchasable in Denmark.

The PSU is changed to Corsair 750W.
GFX is now the HIS 5870.

Anything else before I order it?

If you have to point out a bottleneck, what would it be? Got like 100$ to spare.

Good to hear, im also getting very pleased with the setup now.

About the CPU cooling, I have considered the H50 a lot, but I dont know if its worth the cost when im not going to OC?

may i suggest the akasa venom cooler?
very cool, quiet when needed but will also facilitate oc'ing to about 3.6, fits amd and intel and for me (intel) was very easy to fit.

Is Noctua still going good with the CPU cooling?

About the 1055, Since I play a lot of wow and that game truly loves a lot of MHz, the 1090 is just abit higher on the hertz.

TBH I dont even see the need for 6 cores when your gaming, only a few games use 4 cores so i doubt anything well run 6 cores well. So how about dropping down to a 955BE that way you can keep the 5870.

Also for ram try out the OCZ reaper, fast low CL and cheap so cant go wrong.
