Mooching... in your house
I made a move from o2 to 3 and in all honesty apart from their customer services I reckon the network is superb! A lovely 3G signal almost everywhere :)

What do people reckon to them these days? I'm using them for my iPad data and iPhone 4 and I'm more than happy :)

(also don't get that bloody o2 problem when you call someone and there is no sound!)

Thumbs up?

Talking about iPhone 4 and iPad... Never mind was only making conversation with fellow apple folk...

Well - I agree. Have a 3 sim with a diy trim for the iphone 4 and its a far better signal than any of my friends on either Orange or O2 (Staffordshire - Leek, and Cheshire - Crewe)

im glad this thread appeared
im thinking of jumping the tmobile ship on the 10th if they dont give me a IP4
and 3 have the best looking deal
is it a constant 3g signal within the cheshire area you have been in ?

on 3 with my ipad and its a solid signal for about 50 miles round me thanks in part to me been near the A1;) though i could do with more bandwidth thats down to the pack i got

I've been fairly impressed with them. We put my g/f on three last year, she found she had a poor signal in her house. We called three customer services and they were very reasonable and said due to the signal issue she could cancel the contract at any time with no penalty within the first twelve months, which is very fair.

Then the final round of mast sharing happened and her signal is now very good, pretty much everywhere. Definitely better than my o2 coverage.

Can't really complain.

If only they would move their call centre to the UK...

lol god that brings back some nasty memories to get my micro sim sorted for my ipad, over 30min to get it sorted with lots of broken english on both sides lol ;) yes i agree though i might be tempted with them for my iphone when the o2 contract is up if they had uk call centres

Also switched from o2 to 3 the moment I got a smart phone and was like well this sucks no 3g/h signal hardly anywhere.

I was with them years ago and they where rubbish to say the least. But the bullet and got my iphone with them and can not be happier. Fast speed and never dropped a signal anywhere.

Paying £7.50 for 5Gb monthly data allowance on my iPad and the signal and speed is always excellent!
Cant complain!
don't you mean 1GB? I'm also using my iPad with 3 and its £7.50 for 1GB or £15 for 10GB I thought?

where in the country are you then? you hear a few bad things about three but its very rarely someone slagging of the coverage?

Been with them for years and the coverage just gets better and better IMO. Even managed to get a 3g signal last weekend in the Lake District at a fairly remote campsite. Very rare I have to deal with the customer service, which seems on par with any other offshore call centre, there's always the shops if you happen to be heading to town too. Most of my family are on 3 now for value for money reasons which makes things even cheaper as you get plenty of free 3 to 3 calls.

I've been with 3 for thee years now and have never had any problems with them. 3G signal and speed is always top notch. £5 for (unlimited) internet bolt-on, although rarely go above 200mb tbh.

Well I'm not that impressed as I started on three 2 months ago and I've had nothing but problems with sudden drop outs when online (followed by sudden drops in signal) which either clears itself (this only started happening in the last few weeks) or requires a shut down and restart of the handset (plus WLM is unreliable as well since it crashes almost every time I try and send a message out).
