Downloading a Youtube video.

Hi guys,

I need to do a presentation and I require a video from youtube. Normally I would just link the vid within the slide, but on the occasion I'll be delivering the presentation in an offline environment...

The last time I tried to download a youtube vid I found a site that allowed me to use the url and save the vid as avi/mpeg but this time around all the sites I've found want you to install their own software, which I'm a bit reluctant to do!

Can anyone help me out?

I've always used http://www.zamzar.com/ and it's worked perfectly.

Are there any that work with different video sites? I have 'Youtube Downloader HD', which can't work with Vimeo or Twitter's video.

Use Firefox to view the Youtube video and install the Downloadhelper FF extension :-

I second that its what i do. I use firefox plugins which are great! Can install one via firefox by clicking 'Tools' > 'Add-ons' and then searching for it.
