Just wondering if anyone from here is going to Ford Fair at Silverstone this Sunday? I'm going, travelling down with people from STOC, been to a few Ford shows over the past few months, all have been pretty good, should be a good day to see some old and new cars.

Dad's ST170 will be up on a stand

Your Dad is getting very worrying. Is this Focus he has some sort of garage queen? First he keeps another Focus as a 'daily drive' and now he puts this one on 'stands'.

In his head, is it an Aston Martin? :p Surely he's a bit old for getting enthusiastic over small hatchbacks

No, it's so he doesn't have to walk from the car park into the show, he's lazy like that ;) It'll be buried at the back of a classic car stand, just a favour from a mate.

But yes, I do worry about him a lot.

A favour?!

'Do me a favour mate, you couldnt put your Focus hatchback on my classic car stand? cheers'

:D

No the favour is being able to stick the car at the back of the stand so he doesn't have to do the MASSIVE TEN MINUTE WALK OF DOOM from the car park.

Like I said he's bloody lazy. It makes me cringe honestly, there's nothing I can do. I've been taking the **** out of the fact he has a Focus daily and a Focus weekend car since March but he doesn't seem to care. Just going to have to let him get on with it.

Do people in normal, everyday Fords go to things like this? Wouldn't want to turn up in my little 1.6 Focus and feel out of place...

People who don't even drive go!!!!:p

Yeah, been a regular for years, 700 mile round trip for me!
Drive down Sat, beer/sleep, show sunday then the long drive home on Sun night, thats the killer, road is ok to Newcastle but from there up it's long stretches of single carriageway when you are at the tiredest. Then back to work Monday!!!
Trying to borrow a diesel from work.

Pre-ordered tickets arrived on Friday, Holiday Inn booked!

Focus is fine, if it was a Mk4 Fiesta, in red, then I might think twice.

I'd of like to go, but I'm booked in for some drinking :(

You can actually just park in the general car park. It doesn't matter what you drive.

would have stayed over on the Saturday as well but didn't get organised in time :o Not to worry, least I'm not driving so can relax. Was going to bring my Focus Edge but would really need to stay over as would be shattered.

I'll probably be going, but will be parking with the good cars in the general car park.
