What the ****?!?

Fed and gave them water last night...my mum just shouted me now because she couldn't find the other one...opened up the little house and inside was a brown flat mess mixed with the sawdust. On closer inspection it would seem that it is one of the hamsters.

So the other one has eaten him!!!!

Why the hell would he do that?!?!

there are a few breeds that must be housed alone apparently, syrian being one of them (which i have), as they do have a tendency to fight and eat eachother

My hamster once tried to eat a boiled sweet, after escaping; that was an interesting trip to the vets.

For those interested he survived, his name was spike, I was 8 or so

we had 2 russian dwarf hamsters, the female got preggers and ate everything bar 2 kids.

Then her stomach fell out her bum.

top tip, only have one, a cute fluffy one.

One of my ex's sister used to breed Hamsters, Russian Dwarf Blues or something and my Hoover had broken, so ex's sister loaned me her old Vax that was in her garage doing nothing, which when I got it home didn't work very well...until I found it blocked up by a few mummified Hamsters, it was hard to tell how many but there were at least eight of them.

Edit.. I got distracted and forgot to type the rest.:o

When I phoned her up to tell her, she said she'd always have a few go missing and always thought they'd just eaten each other, not escaped.

The Hamster wasnt called Freddie Starr Was it? :D
Seen gerbils try and eat babies, perhaps its a instinct thing, as an old decaying dead hamster could bring in flies/maggots etc which could endanger the whole group?
