There's a TV adaptation?? I loved the first few, at the time they were a breath of fresh air in a genre that was getting a bit stale, gave up after a while though, just lost interest.

Yeah in the US 'Legend of the Seeker', maybe it didn't make it over to the UK - it's Disneyfied fantasy and pretty wooden acting, though the NZ scenery is nice :p

Kahlan is fit though!

The Legend of the Seeker show isn't "that" bad, probably i'd give it 7/10 but I found it fairly watchable. Though it would be so much better if it was, as you say, a bit less "disneyfied".

Apparently the books are a lot better and the show isn't that well adapted from the books.

Kahlan makes it better though than it would be otherwise ;)

I've got all the books here, they are an enjoyable read if you like the style, if you don't you'll not like them:)

My biggest complaint was that it seemed at times he was dragging it out and repeating basically the same bits.

And £10 for all 11 is a very good price even second hand :)

I read the first two in the series and quite enjoyed them but couldn't get going with the third book.

The TV series was dire. It was shown over here on SyFy channel although it was watchable just for Kahlan.
