I remember watching a comparison of 3 different MP3 players, one was an iPod and all of the presenters agreed that the iPod didn't sound as good as the others but they said it was the overall winner and best buy because it was the prettiest :rolleyes:

they like to state the obvious. and use things in situations that you would never be in. its stoopid, but better than some of the carp thats on.

Yeah, for a Gadget show there's way too much emphasis on aesthetics over substance and general gadgety awesomeness. It annoyed me last season so I just don't watch it anymore. I didn't see it today, but I saw the iphone 4 info on the TV guide and I dread to think how biased it was.

I watch the Gadget Show, probably about the only thing I do watch on Channel 5, and I think they know that too, which is why they seem to put quite a lot of effort into it. Top Gear but with gadgets is a pretty fair comparison.

It does annoy me though that quite often some of their reviews are really half hearted, the sames goes for their website which they plug, even though you would think that would be better with proper reviews and comparisons, it's not. It would be much better served if it was something like Which?
The other problem is that due to being a Gadget Show, the audience in general is going to be quite savvy about gadgets anyway and likely to do their own research before buying something.

The iPhone review tonight was a bit of a joke, especially after advertising so heavily that they were doing so on the new series. The issues surrounding it have been headline news, yet they barely touched on it.
