Just been directed to this Dutch newspapers magazine:
http://www.hetkontakt.nl/fotowedstrijd/nominaties

Even more annoying, it was entered twice under two different names 1 & 29 here.

As you can see they are running a photo comp with a prize of €250. Some of you may notice the lamb photo....for those that don't, it's mine, however I didn't enter this competition! Seriously unimpressed!

I've mailed all the editors listed in the contact us page so lets see what they reply with, or who replies. Also want to find out who entered the competition with my image as I have a few choice words for them as well!!!:mad:

its what people would do in these day and age to win. Remember that story about that Wild animal photos when he self imposed a wolf jumping over the fence?

Hope you get it sorted.

That is a blooming cheek! You also have to wonder how on earth can the same photo be entered by two different people and it appear on the same page?!?

Have you had that photo published? It's a great shot and I know I've seen it before just not sure if it was on here.

That wasn't as cheeky as this, in that case the tog actually did take the shot, except it wasn't a wild wolf but a captive one.

It seems your photo is in 1st place as well with 1041 points! Actually it looks like it won Aprils contest and is 3rd in the monthly contest as well.

Seriously, some people... It drives me nuts - how cheeky some people can be... Off topic but similar, I came across somebody who had faked half of my own CV along with jobs/experience, then applied for a role I was interviewing for.. Needless to say they didn't get the job lol...

Hope you get it removed... Makes you wonder how often this goes on.

TinyEye Reverse Image look up on that image shows it all over. It's not the only image stolen in that Competition either by the looks of it...

Heh, as great as TinEye is, it'll be spread 10x further than TinEye thinks

It wasn't superimposed. It was just questionable if the wolf was really wild.

That's really bad, seems you image has been doing the rounds on lots of sites though although no one else seems to have taken credit for it.

O and also:

lol, I've not seen that 'version' of it before :D

Yeah it's on a lot of sites, sometimes with my credit, sometimes with no credit and once in a while with another credit...they are the ones I always contact without fail!

I've seen this reported by ocuk togs couple of times; can I ask, how did you come to work out your image was being used elsewhere?

It's rubbish, I feel your frustration!

That's quite unbelievable. Its bad enough people stealing photos without recognition, but to actually claim its theirs and enter a photo competition :o

I guess its the internet generation. Why be creative when you can just (so easily) rip someone elses work off.

If its a competition I imagine you have to submit your contact details with the entry. Get the newspaper to provide you with their details and then sue them for breach of copyright.
