To anyone who is having a bonfire, give your neighbours a heads up before so - i.e. if they have windows open / washing out etc.

I've just washed all my clothes today for taking away when I go camping, been on the line this afternoon - nearly dry - when 2 doors down they start a fire which then billows smoke straight through the garden.

They're now washing again and will have to go on the radiators over night.

But just a little warning would have been nice so I could dry them out on the radiator for 30mins :(

Muhh next door get's notice of BBQ if they are in and washing is online. I wouldn't notify whole street though. Just one of those things.

No, it's an old couple, although I think they have relatives around. I'd just feel like an ass if I went over and complained.

Like AcidHell said, it's just one of those things I guess. Doesn't happen all the time, but some consideration like a prewarning would be nice, especially when my washing is in view of their garden.

You're going camping, you're gonna smell of genital sweat, arm sweat, mud, maybe river water, smoke, and whatever you're eating.

I'm sure you'll live ;)

Joking aside, I know what you mean, I have houses behind my garden aswell, so I notify people two doors to the left, two to the right and about 3 in the back when having a BBQ.

Usually cook something for them anyway!

Bonfire's once it's after 9pm usually for us. If you've got your washing out at that time, you're a numpty.
