Holidays in Scotland

Awesome guys, we are big fan of curries so we'll try the Mother India :)
Any other curry place worth it?

thanks for all these ideas you guys are really awesome

The cafe (it's a restaurant really, just a bit less formal) is better than the restaurant. It's tapas style, so you are able to try lots of different curries. It's always busy, so you may have to wait for 10 or 20 minutes or so at the door for a table but it's worth the wait.
It's beside Kelvingrove Park which is nice too, also get good views of the University.
It would be nice to walk around the Byres Road area, go to Ashton Lane for a few beers and then walk through the park to Mother India Cafe if it's a nice evening.
The Dhabba on Candleriggs is really good too, expensive but great curries.
The Shish Mahal on Park Road, out in the West End isn't bad either. They also claim that they invented the Chicken Tikka Masala.
Those three should do you! (I like my curries too!)

I've always wanted to live in Switzerland, want to do a home swap? You can have my small old flat in the East End of Glasgow and I can have your house in the best country in the World. Sound good? :D

Well it's true! I lived there for about 7 years. Eugh!

Thanks a lot man you've been real helpful there :)
We could do a home swap but I'm not sure you'd like to live where I live in Switzerland! It's not that great ;)

No worries. Ask away if you need more Glasgow help. I had a bit of a perv, and noticed you're a DJ. I assume you already know about Subclub and The Arches? Might be worth checking if anything is on whilst you're here. The Skinny should have listings on their websites for venues all over the city.

So we got here yesterday already went around Glasgow a bit. Going to mother india soon and tomorrow we' re going to stirling castle

We went to the one on the isle of skye (Talisker) it was nice and this isle is really gorgeous. Now in Edinburgh for our few last days. We love it

Perhaps you meant chic

Always one of the first words that springs to mind when I think of the Gorbals...

Glad you're enjoying yourself Leodido, I'm still slightly amazed by the number of people down here who tell me they've never been to Scotland - usually because of some weird preconception about it being permanently raining and miserable.
