I'm looking for some advice on mounting my TV

Basically I am moving into a bigger room than I'm in now due to the purchase of a new king size bed, which arrives in 2-3 weeks.

The problem im having is the layout of the new room, although bigger it's a little annoying to fit everything I need in.

Here is the layout I have designed for the back wall of the room.

The Red line running across is my eye level when sitting on my chair.

But I want to mount the tv roughly where it is now in that picture.

From the floor to the middle of the tv in that image it is roughly 5ft 1"

So my question is, do you think this would be mounted too high for comfortable viewing from my PC which is just below the TV,

Aswell as my bed that is facing the TV, which viewing distance from there is about 8ft away?

I think you'll blind yourself and get a tan if you're sitting that close (where the PC is) from that size TV!

Well my desk is quite deep, im about 3.5 ft away from the TV

And its only on the odd occasion I will be watching TV from my desk

I will maybe cut out a big piece of cardboard sheet to the size of my TV and play about with it

1. Get rid of the PC monitor.
2. Lower the the TV.
3. Get a wireless keyboard and mouse.
4. ???
5. Profit.

Now please excuse me for falling into an internet meme. I'm going to kill myself.

I used to have my TV mounted above the monitor similar to your diagram but found it was far from ideal to watch when sat at the desk, although it was fine from the bed. I moved it alongside the monitor as low as I could and find it much more comfortable to watch from anywhere in the room.
