Is it worth me getting an ssd?

After seeing a nice price drop on the ocz and intel ssd drives that I've been pondering over I'm now wondering whether it's worth going for one. I've been looking at getting the Intel 80gb, however I only use my pc for games now really. I do a bit of video editing now again but not as much as I used to.

So is it worth the £170 for what I do or shall I just stick with my samsung f3 drive? Can't decide

if this is purely for speed then you can get a revodrive 50GB for £25 more which will double the speed of the Intel 80GB

I'm thinking of getting a OCZ Vertex 2E, but like you I'm unsure if its worth the extra money..

I have had a cheap Kingston v 64gb Ssd that is about a year old and is supposed to be one of the slower Ssd's but i think it is one of the best upgrades i have made in years as it is very fast and silent.

It's not sata II though is it? Or is it sata II compatible as well?

It will be backward compatible but performance may differ very slightly! only in benchmarks you would notice I suspect.
