I'm currently on a fork lift truck instructors course and the homework they've given us me tonight is to come up with a lesson plan for driving a counter balance fork lift truck around a basic course (two barrels) in reverse.
I can remember doing it in forward gear and know that the front wheels act as the pivot point for turning....does the same apply in reverse? do you have to get the back end out first and then swing it around when the back wheels get to the pivot point on the barrels? is the pivot point the same going forward and back?
any help would be appreciated as I've gone blank and I've got tonight to do it as the gf has the future mother law around and staying the night so i'm keeping myself busy on this
