Hi folks

Looking to buy either a new master cylinder or repair kit for my ford fiesta. where is the best place online for buying ford parts?

Local Motorfactors dont stock them and google only brings back FLeebay results of used parts. the car is imaculate for a 98 and want to keep it going as im not loaded to buy another car.

Ive rebuilt bike master cylinders plenty of times and done brakes so more than happy with the work.

I just cant appear to find a decent online stockist.

Can you folks help Cheers

www.fordpartsuk.com for new bits, either send a description or the part number and they will get a price for you with a bit of a discount off the rrp you would get if you went into your local ford dealer.

Reg would be the best but if you dont want to give it out then just let me know all other details IE. car model engine etc.

Ford Fiesta
1.25 Zetac
1998
No ABS
Manual
Anything else give me a shout.

Preferably just a rebuild kit if they do them

Cheers

Ok will ask for you tomorrow.
Will ask about a complete master cyl and also if they do a repair kit.

Hi there asked today and they dont show any sort of repair kit (thats ford for you)
Without the reg i cant get you the correct price, but the cheapest was £137 and the dearest was £160 both plus vat.
What is wrong with it?

Try brakes international. Even if they can't get you a kit the part will be a lot cheaper than Ford.

Cheers

The master cylinder is leaking onto the Servo.

I can get one for £65.00 so might just pop round on saturday and get it.

Cheers guys

Edit: Does anyone know where I could get a parts list. Like a PDF? Googles pretty bad for them. never usualy have problems getting manuals and such from there but all im getting is the XR2i

Whay are ford Utterly useless.

Thought on my way to work I would pop in to their parts Dept.

Q.Can you tell me if its possible to get a repair kit for a Master Cylinder?
A.Naw! (What kind of answer is naw?)

Q2.Well can you give me a price for the full master cylinder then please?
A2.Probably about £160. (Probably? Aye. Really helpful.

Every time I have been in there you get an attitude like you have totally messed them about. When ever i go in I have all the car details to hand and part numbers and still get made to feel like I'm an utter waste of their time.

Went in looking for Calliper guide bolts for a mate once. £55 +VAT for two. How do they honestly make money?

We have a good one that can get stuff sent in quite quickly.

But is wanting £65.00+vat for a new master cylinder and will take a week to get.

Can get one from a website www.autogateway.co.uk

Also have a partco and Dingbro but obviously not being trade i cant get in dingbro.

Theres a guy I know from a bike forum whos dad owns a garage but i feel cheeky asking him to order me a part to fit myself LOL

You should be able to get a seal from somewhere else if you have the dimensions.
